After the floods that so catastrophically devastated the lives of so many people in Spain last Tuesday 29th October, both in terms of the number of dead and missing people and the material losses of those affected by the DANA, at NTT DATA we mobilised first of all to ensure that all the people who work for us and also their loved ones are safe.

With the intention of helping all those affected by this catastrophe, NTT DATA Spain will make a donation of €100,000 to which an additional €400,000 will be added by NTT DATA Inc. for a total donation of € 500,000 to the Red Cross. With this support, we hope to provide greater support to all those affected by the disaster.

In parallel, we published a fundraising entry on our volunteer portal to raise funds through the Spanish Red Cross for the benefit of those affected by the tragedy. In addition, we opened a group on Teaming, the largest micro-donations platform in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, to try to get more donors to join the cause by contributing €1 per month so that this Teaming group can continue to help over time, in a sustained manner. What matters is not the euro but how many donors (teamers) we are by contributing just 1 euro per month.

At the same time, and given that our most valuable asset is our professionals and their know-how and experience to put technology at the service of society, we are collaborating with the Genetalitat Valenciana and two of our technology partners, OutSytems and ServiceNow, in the creation and adaptation of two applications that will support those affected by the DANA.

The first solution consists of an app to support citizens and the administration with the identification of vehicles affected by the storm. Its objective is to help find out the location of the vehicle and put the administration in contact with the owners. This application has been built practically from scratch in record time and uses OutSystems' LowCode platform, which provides the licensing and infrastructure to run it.

The second is an inventory management tool, which facilitates the coordination of material donated by volunteers, associations and other groups. Again, the NTT DATA team of professionals has been working all weekend on this application in coordination with the ServiceNow platform.

In the coming weeks we will intensify our efforts and explore new avenues of collaboration to put the company's assets at the service of the victims.
